ABOUT OUR FOUNDER
Dr. Jason Lody is Eventus Education’s first Chief Executive Officer and joined the organization in July of 2024. Jason comes to Eventus Education with almost 20 years of experience in private and public school leadership, concentrating primarily on start-up and turnaround school environments. After completing his doctoral studies in organizational development, Jason completed a certification in change leadership at Harvard University through a joint online program with their schools of business and education.
Jason worked in K-12 schools across New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland and New York first as a Math and Science teacher before growing in administrative roles including assistant principal, dean of students, and principal. Subsequently, Jason worked as an adjunct professor of Education at The College of Saint Rose in Albany, NY where he taught as part of the teacher education program, designing undergraduate and graduate level courses in human development, philosophy of education, methods of instruction for Math and Science, and supervising student teachers at their school placements.
In 2008 he worked as a member of the founding team of Center City Public Charter Schools, the nation’s first-ever Catholic-to-Charter school conversion. After supporting the network’s start-up he transitioned to help scale nationally the literacy non-profit Reading Partners, serving as the Mid-Atlantic Regional Executive Director, establishing programs and public school partnerships in DC, New York City, Baltimore, and Charleston, SC. After Reading Partners, Jason became the founding Executive Director of Sela Public Charter School, one of the nation’s first Hebrew Immersion Public Charter Schools and helped secure the school’s facility, fulfill all of the school’s charter conditions, worked with consultants to adjust the school’s curriculum design, hired the school’s first principal, and led the school’s first two years of operations.
Through his work for a national school management company, Jason oversaw school improvement practices and turnaround programs at some of the State’s lowest performing public schools in Michigan, Connecticut, New Jersey, and Florida. While in this role he spent two years designing and implementing an alternative high school blended-learning program for pregnant and parenting teens and adults in Detroit, Michigan. This innovative model included a robust technology integration, innovative transportation plan to get students to and from school with their child safely, and an embedded childcare facility within the school for enrolled students to bring their child while they worked to complete their high school diploma requirements through an adaptive computer-based program. In its first year of operation, this school graduated more students than all other alternative high school programs in the District combined, and this school continues to significantly outperform all other alternative schools in Detroit. Designing innovative programs, fostering collaboration, and building strong leadership teams that yield positive outcomes is at the heart of Jason’s passion for leading change.

Depending on how we support each client, the commitment could be as little as six weeks for program development and longer for more comprehensive support services. We require a minimum commitment because of the time needed to develop a relationship with each client to fully understand their needs, school community, business operations, and the client’s desired outcomes, plus the development and implementation of a plan to deliver those outcomes.
